A browser studio for drawing and animating DNA replication.
RepliCanvas is an interactive, open-source browser studio for creating clear, publication-ready figures and animations of DNA replication.
Build linear or circular DNA molecules, or paint completely free-form paths directly on the canvas. Origins, replication bubbles, individual forks, and strand breaks can all be placed and reshaped interactively, making it easy to construct a replication programme and follow its progression through S phase.
Molecular styling is highly customisable, including strand geometry, base-pair detail, colours, labels, contours, and fork transitions. Finished figures can be exported as PNG, SVG, or PDF files, while complete replication animations can be rendered as MP4 videos. Projects can also be saved and reloaded for later editing, with no installation required.
